Our puppies love these! At first, I was worried these wouldn’t last long. I quickly found out that these (at least for small puppies) last a rather long time. Both of our puppies seem to like the taste and the size is good for them to chew on without being a choking hazard (until they get almost finished). For reference, our puppies are small, both under 10 pounds. Each of these chews seems to last my puppies more than one day (they don’t chew on them continuously but rather chew for a while when the mood strikes and then come back to them later). I love that there are directions on the package for how to use up the small end once the dog has chewed on it until it turns into a choking hazard! I really feel like I get my money’s worth out of these chews.As far as messiness, they don’t really seem to be messy but I do have my pups chew these in our kitchen on a hardwood floor. It does make their face hairs a little stiff but not so much that I’ve felt I needed to bathe them after they chew on these.
The point of this review isn’t to scare you, but to bring your attention to a few things I noticed while reviewing it.(There is an other recommended product in a link below.)The Good:The dogs seemed to like it very much!! The item came with 2 large chews. They didn’t smell bad like the way bully sticks do, and there wasn’t anything I had to really clean up after. Also, the dogs didn’t get any upset tummy or diarrhea from eating them either.The bad:The toy didn’t last that long at all.It’s VERY hard!!! I know folks are looking for a durable product for their pets, but I don’t like this as an option. Your pet CAN break a tooth while eating this!!! They don’t really break on bully sticks because it’s meat, and the tooth can sink once it’s wet enough. But with these chews, they are VERY hard. Also, I’m concerned about abdominal blockages!!These sticks break into chunks. But also, when the dog gets it down small enough, they can swallow the whole bottom end!!! And that’s dangerous!!So if you’re going to give this to them, it’s CAN’T be left unsupervised!!In conclusion, I rate this 2 STARSThe dogs like it, but I rather give them bully sticks because these aren’t that safe. It didn't take long for her to fall in love with these chews. I bought the Large 4 pack and my pup absolutely LOVES chewing on these! She has 3 regular bones that she is bored of chewing after about 2 days each, but she's always excited for the Yak chews.I praise this seller for taking the time to answer all of the questions that I had since it was my first time buying these Yak chews.
I ordered these for my new rescue dog who likes to chew even though he’s only 18 pounds. Seeing that it is only made from simple ingredients I thought this would be perfect for him. He normally destroys things pretty quickly and could not with these. However, I am definitely on the fence about these because they are so incredibly hard. I’m talking solid rock hard! I’m hoping he doesn’t chip or crack a tooth on this. He has went to it twice since I’ve had it a week to chew on them and he has not made one scratch or dent in them, again assuming it is because these are so hard. It’s not his go to chew toy at all so the jury still out on if this is Dog approved or not. I will update my post if he choose them more or less as time goes on.
You get two extra-large sized yak chews in this package, which will last the average dog a pretty long time. My girls both LOVE yak chews, so they were excited to start chewing on these... I do supervise them with yak chews to watch for broken pieces and bloody gums (the chews have hard edges to start out with) - and I only allow them to chew for about 15 minutes at a time. The size of these particular yak chew was an attraction because I felt that they would be less likely to crack and break into smaller pieces, and that has indeed been true so far!
I been wanting to try these for my dogs for a very long time . I always opted for something a little less expensive but so I happy to have finally gotten these. Super tough! However, you can soften with hot water and even turn them into cheese puffs ! it comes with instructions on how to do so . The price is tag is very fair , these are huge and will last so long. My dog Ella loves these! I just started buying them for her and she always gets very excited when she hears the bag rumble. She has digestive issues and this is one of the best alternatives we had chosen for her. It’s really great to see just 3 ingredients in a product, when there are so many out there with a complicated list of ingredients. These Yak Chews are an absolute game-changer.
I guess this is on me but I read 'cheese' and thought .... great! I guess yak cheese isn't soft.Buyer BEWARE! This is not a soft 'cheese' treat. It's HUGE as you can see by the picture with the sharpie. It's also ROCK HARD. Can't grate it. Can't break it. I can't imagine a dog being able to chew it without losing a few teeth. If it were for ANY dog, I'd say breeds like dobermans, St. Bernard's, golden retrievers. BIG DOGS. Dogs who can destroy anything with their teeth.I suppose it could be a good treat for the right dog. You get 4 in a pack. I guess one would last a long time? I honestly don't know. This is so rock hard I won't even donate. I keep envisioning a lot of lost teeth.If you're familiar with yak cheese and how hard it is then I guess it's a good value but, otherwise, stay away from it.
These are awesome! My dog loves these and she is a super chewer. She loves gnawing on bones and toys so this is a great alternative to her tearing up all of her toys plus it's only a few ingredients! These come in a pack of four and keep her occupied for awhile!

Our Frenchton loves these!She can’t chew them into a slimy mess and swallow them whole unlike leather chews.Not cheap but they last awhile.
I had a dog expert recommend this for my puppy and my dog loves them. We ordered a second bag and they lasted really long time and keep her busy. She chews on them. They’re made out of natural Harden cheese. It keeps her busy and she seems to enjoy it.
